Why Founders Choose a Strategy Engagement
An action plan you can actually follow
You get a phased roadmap from where the company is now to where it needs to be, with the work broken into steps, each one owned by name and scoped to a real week of someone's time. Not a direction or a set of principles. A plan your team can pick up on Monday and still be running two quarters from now.
Your whole team pulling the same direction
The plan is built with your people, not delivered to them. Working sessions pull what your team already knows into the open, settle the trade-offs while everyone is in the room, and produce something they helped write. That is why it survives after the engagement ends: nobody has to be talked into a plan they built.
The right levers, in the right order
Most wasted quarters come from doing good work too early. Content before there is anywhere to capture leads, automation before the system it automates exists, hiring ahead of the process a new person would need. The sequencing is the part that saves you months, and it comes from mapping what actually depends on what before anything gets scheduled.

Who It Is For
- Founders who know what is broken and need the plan to fix it
- Teams that keep starting initiatives without finishing them
- Companies that just ran a diagnostic and want to act on it
- Investors who need a portfolio company to get moving

Strategy Engagement Deliverables
Everything Built to Be Run by Your Team
Customer and Segment Definition
Who you sell to, who you do not, and how the sale actually runs. Segments defined sharply enough to build collateral against, plus the profile of the customer worth turning away.
Prioritized Opportunities
Everything worth fixing, ranked, with the reasoning visible. You see what was considered and deliberately left for later, not just the short list.
Phased Roadmap
The path from where you are to where you are going, in phases, with the dependencies between them made explicit so nothing gets scheduled before the thing it needs.
Execution Plan
Each piece of work with an owner, a scope, and a cadence. Sized to real weeks of real people's time, not an idealized plan that assumes nobody has a day job.
Success Measures
The handful of numbers that tell you whether it is working, defined up front so progress is a measurement rather than an opinion.
Startup Strategy Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly do I get?
A current-state map of how the work actually happens, a prioritized opportunity list, a phased roadmap, and an execution plan with sequencing and ownership. Everything is built to be run by your team, not by me.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks, depending on the scope and how many people need to be involved.
How is this different from a consulting deck?
A deck tells you what to do. This engagement decides what to do, sequences it, assigns it, and sets up the rhythm to run it. You end with a plan your team owns and can execute on Monday.
Do I need the Startup Diagnostic first?
No. If you already know what the constraint is, we start here. If you are not sure, the Startup Diagnostic finds it first and part of that fee may apply toward this engagement.
What do you need from me?
Access to the people doing the work, whatever documentation exists, and a founder or executive who can make decisions during the engagement.
Who is involved from your side?
I run the engagement directly. You work with me, not with an account team.
What if the scope turns out to be bigger than expected?
We scope before we start and I will tell you if it does not fit in four to six weeks. If the real answer is a longer execution engagement, I will say that rather than stretch a strategy engagement to cover it.
How does billing work, and can you invoice in our currency?
The engagement is invoiced, not bought at checkout. Fees are set in USD, and international clients can be invoiced in their local currency (EUR via SEPA, GBP, and other major currencies) at the equivalent amount converted from the USD price.
Do you sign NDAs and keep information confidential?
Yes. We can sign your standard NDA. All information is handled confidentially and used only for the engagement.
What happens after the engagement?
Most teams execute the plan themselves. If you want someone to drive it, we can talk about an execution engagement where I embed and own the outcome.
Can investors commission this for a portfolio company?
Yes. I work with funds, studios, and accelerators on portfolio companies, and can report back in a format that works for the investor.
