Frequently Asked Questions

What does Emerging Humanity do?

Emerging Humanity is me, Christos Kritikos, an embedded operator for founders and VC portfolio companies. I get inside the company, find what is actually blocking growth, and fix it. Not a deck, not advice from the sidelines. I own the outcome alongside your team.

How do you help a startup that has stalled?

I start by finding the real constraint, which is rarely the obvious one. Then we fix it: the roadmap, the team, the operating rhythm, whatever is actually holding growth back. Sometimes that is a short diagnostic, sometimes it is months embedded in the product function.

What is a fractional CPO, and is that what you do?

A fractional CPO is an operator in the product seat: owning strategy, roadmap, team, and execution part-time instead of as a full-time hire. It is one way I work, when the product function is what needs leadership. The broader role is operator: I go where the constraint is, which is not always product.

How do you start with a new company?

Usually with a Clarity Scan, a fast diagnostic that finds the highest-leverage opportunities and the real constraint, so we are not guessing about scope. From there we either fix it together or you take the plan and run. No long proposal cycle.

Who do you work with?

Post-traction founders who have hit a ceiling and need someone to own the fix, and capital partners (GPs, studios) who need a trusted operator to go into a portfolio company and get it moving. The common thread is execution, not more advice.

Do you just advise, or do you actually do the work?

I do the work. I will advise when that is what is needed, but the point of an operator is ownership: I am in the room, making decisions, accountable for what ships and what it achieves. The deliverable is a company that is moving, not a document.

What kind of companies do you take on?

Mission-driven ventures where the work matters: health, education, climate, and the markets others overlook. Companies with real traction and a founder worth betting on. I take on a small number at a time because the work is hands-on.

How do I start a conversation?

Send a message below or book a discovery call. Tell me where the company is and what is in the way. I will tell you honestly whether I can help and what that would look like. No pitch, no commitment.
